Every quarter
Every quarter, the investment team needs to see how each portfolio company is performing.
Each company submits its financial model through the firm’s existing process. The files use different layouts, labels, calculations, and reporting periods, so they cannot be compared as-is. Port of Context connects to the system the firm chooses, reads each submission using the firm’s approved definitions, and prepares one consistent report. Missing or unclear figures are flagged for review.
What the report includes
One consistent set of measures
Revenue, EBITDA, cash, and the firm’s other approved measures appear in the same structure for every portfolio company.
A source for every figure
Each reported field identifies the workbook, sheet, and location it came from. Reviewers can verify a figure without retracing the entire extraction.
Complete coverage and review items
Each required company and period returns a value or a clear missing-data state. If a workbook or figure is missing or ambiguous, the report identifies exactly what needs review.
When new reporting files arrive, the process runs again. The investment team receives an updated report and a short list of items that need review.
2-3 weeks
A first deployment pairs one firm financial-model owner with one Port of Context engineer.
The rest of the guide
Six more pages, and the PDF to keep.
The remaining pages cover what the firm defines before the build, the quarterly run, the two-to-three-week first deployment, how acceptance is judged, the reference run’s economics, and what the firm can build next. Leave your details and the guide opens here.
